BA/BS/BSE mathematics graduates will be able to 

  • apply principles of logical reasoning to solve mathematical problems.
  • present coherent solutions and explain mathematical concepts in layman’s terms.
  • express mathematical ideas in writing using correct syntax, vocabulary, and symbolism.
  • employ algorithmic processes within an area of mathematics.
  • acquire the necessary professional skills to enter/participate in the job market.

 

M.Ed. in Mathematics students will

  • demonstrate the ability to apply graduate coursework to their current or future careers. 
  • demonstrate the ability to communicate mathematics pedagogical knowledge in the teaching and learning of mathematics at the K-12 level to a mathematically trained audience. 
  • demonstrate proficiency in graduate-level mathematical concepts to a mathematically trained audience.
  • demonstrate the ability to communicate K-12 level mathematical concepts through the lens of their graduate coursework.
  • acquire the necessary mathematics education skills to succeed post-graduation.
