Drop-in Group/Individual Tutoring
Drop-In Group Tutoring
Drop-in group tutoring provides an excellent study environment that allows students to learn from each other with the guidance of a tutor. A typical tutoring session is scheduled at a recurring weekly time and is open to all, without an appointment, who wish to receive tutoring. Unlike individual tutoring, group tutoring is not limited to a specific course, but has a variety of different courses being tutored. Group tutoring is offered weekly in the following departments that provide their own tutoring:
*Math tutoring—Students registered with the Office of Learning Services and MSP students only. Other students should go to the Math Assistance Center (MAC) - Wickersham Hall.
MAC Hours begin on September 28, 2023
Individual tutoring is offered on a more limited basis depending on the department. Students should contact the Tutoring Center for availability. Departments noted with asterisks (**) require students to contact the respective department to arrange individual tutoring services. Tutors and tutees are required to hold individual sessions in a convenient public place. Individual tutoring may be available to a very limited degree in the following departments:
- Earth Sciences**
- English (upper level courses only)
- Foreign Languages**
- Latino/a Studies
- Political Science
- Social Work
- Women's Studies
- Writing Center (General Writing Assistance and English 110/010)
