About the Exhibition ...
Comfort Food and Other Simple Pleasures is about finding joy in spite of negative external forces. Utilizing diverse material and scale, humor and whimsy are a focus in this exhibition. Food is connected to memories and how life itself is maintained, so the artist wants to explore this dynamic between the viewer, cuisine, and identity. From ceramic work meant to capture a moment for an eternity to textile pieces meant to be truly physically comfortable, Comfort Food and Other Simple Pleasures is about the joy we create for ourselves and others every day.Instagram: @c.a.littleart
About the Artist ...
Claudia Little was born in Kent County, Delaware in 2001. After earning an Associates in Culinary Arts in 2023, Claudia now studies fine art at Millersville University in Pennsylvania with the plan to graduate in 2026. Claudia has been featured in several exhibitions, including the 2025 Millersville Student Juried Exhibition where she received the Drawing award. Though they’re focusing on ceramics, Claudia uses a variety of media from metals to textile. She wants to explore sculptural work that extends beyond a strictly visual experience, playing with the potential of interactive artwork.
