Athletic Injuries

Injuries sustained during intercollegiate practice or play are initially treated by the athletic trainers. Referrals to Health Service Providers are made by the trainers. Please schedule an appointment to be seen by a doctor or nurse practitioner at Health Services. (717-872-3250) Athletic injuries are seen during normal office hours. The Medical Director will make referrals to specialists as needed and the Medical Director will make the final decision regarding the athletes ability to play.

Pre-participation Athletic Physicals

Completion of sport physical is required prior to practice.

Before a student can receive his/her athletic physical, each student must have on file at the Health Services, a copy of his or her required university entrance physical with immunization record and personal/family history. Once this requirement is met, the sports physical can be completed. This complies with the NCAA guidelines.

Sports physicals are scheduled with the cooperative efforts of coaches, trainers, and Millersville University Health Services staff.

Further questions can be directed to sport specific coaches.
