Courses: Screen printing t-shirts, printing on shot glasses
Internship: Portfolio work such as oversized banners, table banners, flyer hand-outs, designs for giveaway items
Takeaway (from courses/internship/research):
Internship: The importance of speaking up (your designs will not be used if you do not share your ideas), being a team player (worked with multiple departments throughout internship where help was needed, which gave me the ability to get more experience!)
Advice (for incoming freshman in your shoes):
Get involved. There are many clubs on campus and organizations around campus tofind opportunities to learn and grow as a student and an individual. You might be interested in more things that you have not even experienced yet so try new things.

Work within sports & marketing industry doing graphic arts and promotions for professional or college teams.
