Teacher Recruitment Day Consortium Job Fair
March 11, 2020 - TRD update
The March 17th Teacher Recruitment Day (TRD) has been canceled due to concerns regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
Unfortunately, we are not able to reschedule the fair this year.
Teacher candidates, we encourage you to reach out to the school districts directly to express your interest. Please apply online at their websites, contact their Human Resources offices to inquire about opportunities, and make good use of education job sites such as PA-REAP, Teaching in PA, and PA Educator.
Additionally, Consortium education departments will receive the Employer Guidebooks that were printed for the fair that include the full list of participating school districts and details of their hiring needs. Please use this to guide you in your search. Furthermore, do not hesitate to contact your Career Services office for additional assistance and support. Here is the Employer Guidebook electronically.
Employers, the Consortium values our relationship with you and your continued support of our fair. Therefore, we will explore issuing a partial refund to you; however, we must first review the expenses we will incur from the venue, website, print shop, administrator fees, etc. We will be in touch once more information can be provided.

Millersville graduating teacher candidates and alumni are welcome to join the Teacher Recruitment Day Consortium for this 35th annual event, drawing 142+ school districts and educational employers from across the nation. Over 400 teacher candidates from 10 central PA colleges and universities participate in TRD.
This job fair is an opportunity for Millersville University education majors who are student teaching and MU education alumni seeking teaching positions to meet with school district representatives from across the nation. Pre-registration not necessary as registration is day-of the event for Teacher Recruitment Day consortium schools (Albright College, Elizabethtown College, Lebanon Valley College, Messiah College, Millersville University, Penn State Harrisburg, Shippensburg University, York College of PA). Candidates from non-member schools will be able to register on site and enter the event after 10 am for a $20.00 fee (cash only).
Please note the fair will feature an Open Format from 9 am - 1 pm to facilitate candidate screenings and mini-interviews. All candidates are welcomed. This will be followed by a Closed Format from 1 pm - 3 pm in which full interviews and additional mini-interviews will take place by invitation only.
