Marketing Certificate Online Admissions Requirements

Please note, the online Business Certificate in Marketing program is typically completed part-time.

To apply for admission, you must submit to the Office of Online Programs: 

A completed online application (the online application is free upfront but a $40 application will be assessed once program has been started)

  • Students who have completed an Associate’s Degree in Business (or another related field):
    • An official transcript from all institutions of higher education attended
    • A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher from accredited college or university
    • Completion of the following courses:
      • BUAD 231 – Financial Accounting
      • ECON 101 – Microeconomics
      • ECON 102 – Macroeconomics
  • Students who have NOT completed an Associate’s Degree must also meet the following requirements in addition to the coursework listed above:
    • Additional Coursework Required:
      • BUAD 161 – Intro. to Financial Accounting
      • COMM 100 – Fundamentals of Speech
      • ENGL 110 – English Composition
      • MATH 101 – College Algebra
    • High School Transcripts
    • SAT Scores
    • 2 Letters of academic reference regarding the student’s ability to complete collegiate-level work
    • A 500 word essay answering the question:  How will a Certificate in Marketing benefit my career plan?

*Please note that students entering the program without an Associate’s Degree are not guaranteed acceptance into any of the baccalaureate programs at Millersville University

Marketing Certificate Online Admissions Process

  • Once all admission documents are received an official admissions decision will be made and a transfer credit evaluation will be completed
  • If accepted into the program, a packet will be mailed with an official admissions offer letter, instructions to confirm acceptance including a response form and an official transfer credit evaluation.
  • To confirm acceptance, the admissions response form and a $150 check/money order must be mailed to:

From the time a prospective student inquires to the time they have confirmed their acceptance, the Office of Online Programs Admissions Recruiter will work with the student to help answer questions and or concerns regarding the application and admissions process, provide transcript updates, complete transcript evaluations, announce admission decisions and assist with confirming enrollment.
