Lombardo College of Business Online Certificate in Marketing Admissions Requirements
This online certificate program allows students to gain critical advanced skills in the area of marketing by taking a variety of marketing courses fully online without having to complete a full degree program.
Students completing the online Marketing Certificate are able to transfer credits seamlessly into the online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree program when they are ready to take the next step!
Please note, the Lombardo College of Business Online Certificate in Marketing program is typically completed part-time.
*Students entering the certificate program without an Associate’s Degree are not guaranteed acceptance into any of the baccalaureate programs at Millersville University

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The online Marketing Certificate enables students to:
- Diversify their skills within their current major of study at Millersville
- Gain critical advanced skills in the area or marketing
- Upskill knowledge and abilities based on up-to-date practices and the latest research
As a result of finishing this program, students will be able to:
- Craft and implement a detailed marketing plan using a variety of media
- Understand and apply marketing analytics to strategic business problems
- Predict and shape consumer behavior using marketing models
- Identify and implement socially responsible marketing programs

Admissions, Pre-Requisites, and Program Requirements
PROGRAM PRE-REQUISITES
Successful completion of the following pre-requisite course(s) is required before beginning the program:
- BUAD 231 – Principles of Marketing (C or higher final grade)
OR the below pre-requisite courses for BUAD 231
- ECON 101 – Microeconomics (C or higher final grade)
- ECON 102 – Macroeconomics (C or higher final grade)
PROGRAM CURRICULUM
The online Certificate in Marketing program is a 15 credit certificate program.
Required Program Courses (6 credits)
- BUAD 231 – Principles of Marketing (Required before taking all other courses)
- MKTG 332 – Consumer Behavior
Elective Courses (9 credits)
- Any combination of 300 or 400 level marketing courses (except for MKTG 332)*
*Students will work with their advisor to choose 9 credits of elective courses which best fit their interests and career goals.

**Transcripts must be sealed, official copies sent directly from the university or college to our office. Any opened transcripts (electronic or mailed) are considered unofficial copies**
Millersville University’s Online Programs offer rolling admissions and applications are reviewed for acceptance as they become complete.
ONLINE ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
Once all application documents are received, an official admissions decision will be made and a transfer credit evaluation will be completed. If accepted into the program, a packet will be mailed with further admissions information.
To confirm acceptance and secure a spot in the program, the admissions response form and a $150 acceptance deposit must be submitted either electronically or by mail.

Online Application and Admissions Support
Our Online Programs Admissions Counselor will work with students from the point of interest until confirming their acceptance to help answer questions, provide transcript updates, complete transcript evaluations, announce admission decisions and assist with confirming enrollment.
