2022 Commencement

Watch a highlight video from three commencement ceremonies held on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

  • Ceremony Logistics

Graduates - once you have checked-in at registration using your Grad Pass, you will be directed to your seat by college. The ceremony will begin promptly at the designated time. When it is your turn to cross the stage and be recognized, commencement marshals will guide you on when to stand up, where to line up and when to proceed across the stage. Please be sure to have your Grad Pass ready to be scanned before you enter the stage. As you cross the stage, you will receive a diploma cover and a photo will be taken of you and the President. The commencement photographer will take your individual photo and you will return to your seat as guided by a commencement marshal. When the ceremony concludes, you will be directed by marshals to exit Pucillo. After exiting, graduates should plan where they will meet their guests.

  • Attire and Personal Items

Graduates should plan to arrive at check-in dressed in regalia and ready to participate in the ceremony.

Graduates who are participating in the ceremony are required to wear the appropriate regalia which is available for purchase from the University Bookstore. Orders can be placed now and either shipped to you or will be available for pickup beginning April 1.

Watch this video to learn how to look your best in commencement regalia.

Footwear: Please be advised that spiked heels are not allowed on the field. You will be walking and standing as well as climbing stairs, so it is recommended that you wear flats or a low wedge heel.

  • Guest Ticket Guidelines
    • Tickets are required to enter the gym, with the exception of children age 3 or younger. No assigned seating.
    • During the ticket reservation process, graduates will have the opportunity to provide information about any of their guests who may have mobility issues and require seating that does not involve stairs.
    • Tickets will be released electronically to graduates. Graduates will be responsible for providing the tickets to their guests. Please note - stadium tickets will not permit entrance into Pucillo.
    • Students should not attempt to exchange guest tickets as each ticket has a unique QR code.
    • No additional tickets will be available the day of the event.
    • An on-campus viewing site for the livestream will be available at the Winter Center for Visual and Performing Arts at 60 W. Cottage Avenue for the Saturday ceremonies. This is a climate-controlled venue and tickets will not be required.
