Description
Designed to introduce web development to students who are not computer science majors. Topics include web page content creation, styling, and scripting, as well as effective utilization of educational resources in service of web development. At the end of the course, students will be able to develop their own web pages to accomplish their individual personal and professional goals. No credit toward computer science major. Offered periodically.

Course Outcomes
- Understand the history of the Internet and World Wide Web and their impact on society.
- Create web pages using modern web development techniques and technologies.
- Apply styles, layouts, and designs to web page content.
- Implement interactive and dynamic web page content via scripting.
- Identify and utilize principles of effective user interface design and experience.
- Effectively utilize existing web development resources such as content, documentation, libraries, and application programming interfaces.
