BACKGROUND:
Dr. Soong is the founder of Ocean Current Energy International (OCEI). OCEI is a research and development company with a vision to utilize the kinetic energy in ocean currents to make clean and renewable energy available globally. Dr. Soong attended the Florida State University (FSU) to study physical oceanography after receiving a B.S.E in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University. He retired in 2007 after a thirty-year career at MU.
