Band Camp
2023 Band Camp
Our Band Camp will be offered from Tuesday, June 20 through Sunday, June 25.
Who is the Camp for?
- This camp is intended for traditional band instrumentalists (woodwind, brass, percussion) with at least three years of experience (age 12-entering college)
What will be covered in the Camp?
- Large ensemble experience
- Musicianship development
- Ensemble skills development
- Performance experience of quality wind band literature
Where will the Camp meet?
- Our camp will meet in the Winter Visual and Performing Arts Center in one of our many high quality performing arts centers
What will the Camp schedule look like?
- June 20 - registration/check-in 12:00, seating/sight-reading 2-5, dinner 5-6 (all), rehearsal 6-7:30, evening activity.
- June 21-June 24 - breakfast 8-9 (residential campers), rehearsal 9-12, lunch 12-1 (all), rehearsal 1-5, dinner 5-6 (all), rehearsal 6-7:30, camp activity (TBD - all) .
- June 25 - breakfast (residential campers), rehearsal 9-12, lunch (all), check out of housing (residential), camp showcase concert 3:00 pm.
- Sectionals and/or elective classes will be announced prior to the start of camp.
What will the Camp cost?
- 2023 tuition will be $400 for commuting campers and $800 for residential campers. Residential camp tuition is due by June 1, and commuting camp tuition is due by June 20.
