quick facts

Scholarships are a type of financial aid that you don’t have to pay back! Scholarships can come from many places such as:

  • Colleges & Universities
  • Employers
  • High Schools
  • Local Churches/Clubs
  • Private Organizations
  • State Government

Scholarships can also be based on many different factors:

  • Academic Interest
  • Academic Merit
  • Athletic Talent
  • Financial Need

It’s important to remember that some scholarship organizations require a separate application.

If you receive a scholarship from an external source or organization, make sure you send a copy of your scholarship letter to both the Office of Financial Aid and the Office of Student Accounts so that it can be included in your awards and notated on your bill.
