The Office of Financial Aid is here to assist all students, regardless of their economic resources, in obtaining financial assistance and the collection of student tuition and fees; while maintaining the fiscal and regulatory integrity of the University's financial programs.

FAFSA

The FAFSA is the application used by the Department of Education to determine what types of financial aid you may qualify for. Completing the FAFSA is free, quick, and gives you access to the largest source of financial aid to pay for college.

FAFSA School Code

To start the financial aid process, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To have your information sent to Millersville, you must include our School Code: 003325 - Check out the Applying for Aid section for more info!

  • 2021-2022 Billing & Due Dates

    Fall Semester tuition bills were sent out electronically by the Office of Student Accounts on July 16th, 2021 and are due by August 4th, 2021.

    • If you ahve not yet resolved your fall bill, make sure to do so as soon as possible to avoid issues registering for the spring semester!
    • If you need additional funding, make sure to explore the Additional Payment Options below.

    Spring Semester tuition bills are scheduled to be sent out electronically by the Office of Student Accounts on November 12th, 2021 and are due by December 15th, 2021.

    • Make sure you have your financial aid in place before December 15th to avoid receiving $100 late fee!
    • If you need additional funding, make sure to explore the Additional Payment Options below.

  • 2022-2023 FAFSA Coming Soon!
    The 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available October 1st!
    • Create your FSA ID & Password in order to get access to Federal Student Aid’s online systems and to serve as your legal signature.
      • If you need help creating or retrieving your FSA ID, check out this video for some helpful tips and instructions.
    • Complete your 2022-2023 FAFSA Application early to be considered for all types of federal aid! The recommended deadline is March 15th!
      • For helpful tips on how to fill out your FAFSA, check out this video from Federal Student Aid.
    • If you are a Pennsylvania State resident, make sure to file your FAFSA prior to May 1st to be considered for the PA State Grant.

    Award Letters:

    • Millersville University will begin sending Financial Aid Award Letters to prospective students in early February! Make sure you have completed the FAFSA above so that we can send you your electronic Award Letter! If you have already confirmed your acceptance with Admissions, your Award Letter will be emailed to your Millersville University email account; if you ahve not yet confirmed your acceptance, your award letter will be sent to the email we have on file!
      • Once you recieve your award letter in February:
      • If you have not received your award letter by the end of February double check the following:
        • If you just filed your FAFSA in within the past two weeks, our office should be receiving it soon and will be sending out an email with your electronic Financial Aid Award Letter.
        • If you completed your application a while ago, log in and make sure you included Millersville University’s school code: 003325. If you have included our school code, please contact our office. 

    Scholarships:

    • If you are receiving a scholarship from your high school or other outside source and do not see it listed on your Award Letter, please forward the information to the Financial Aid Office so we can add it to your awards.
    • If you have questions about scholarships for incoming students, please contact Admissions at admissions@millersville.edu. The Office of Financial Aid will have scholarships that you can apply for after you complete your first semester at Millersville.
    • You can also continue applying for outside scholarships. For more information on scholarships, click here!

  • 2022-2023 Returning Students

    Returning Students

    Applying for Aid:

    • The 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available October 1st!
    • Log in with your FSA ID & Password in order to get access to Federal Student Aid’s to complete and submit your application.
      • If you need help retrieving your FSA ID, check out this video for some helpful tips and instructions.
    • Complete your 2022-2023 FAFSA Application early to be considered for all types of federal aid! The recommended deadline is March 15th!
      • For helpful tips on how to fill out your FAFSA, check out this video from Federal Student Aid.
    • If you are a Pennsylvania State resident, make sure to file your FAFSA prior to May 1st to be considered for the PA State Grant.

     

    Award Letters:

      • Make sure you have completed the FAFSA above so that we can send you your electronic Award Letter!
      • Make sure you have also completed all of your outstanding financial aid requirements as soon as possible in order to not delay the processing of your financial aid. You can view your financial aid requirements in your myVILLE Student portal under the Finances Tab mid-February. 
        • Once you recieve your award letter in June:
        • If you have not received your award letter by the end of June double check the following:
          • If you just filed your FAFSA in within the past two weeks, our office should be receiving it soon and will be sending out an email with your electronic Financial Aid Award Letter.

    Scholarships:

    • Scholarships for returning students are available through Scholarship Universe. Applications are made available at the end of November and due mid-February. Check your Millersville email for notification of when the application process will begin for the 2022-2023 school year.
