The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OB3) was signed into law on July 4, 2025 with provisions going into effect on July 1, 2026. The U.S. Department of Education is currently working to provide guidance about this law which introduces significant changes to federal student aid programs. While some provisions are clear, many others require further clarification from the U.S. Department of Education. We understand that students and families have questions, and so do we.
The Millersville University Office of Financial Aid is actively working to understand the full scope and impact of these changes. At this time, we do not yet have all the answers. Please know that our team is closely monitoring updates, participating in webinars, and engaging in professional training opportunities to ensure we fully grasp the nuances of this legislation and can provide accurate guidance.
As we receive more information and official updates, we will continue to revise and expand this webpage to reflect the most current and actionable information available. Students and families may also refer to the U.S. Department of Education and studentaid.gov for additional information.
