As devoted contributors to Millersville University, Mr. Eric Liddell ’71 and Mrs. Rochelle Liddell ’70 established the Liddell Field Study Endowment Award. Millersville University students benefit from the endowment through its support of academic field experiences for students at Wallops Island or other similar field studies.
For many years, Dr. Samuel Lombardo and Mrs. Dena Lombardo have supported Millersville University and have provided tremendous educational opportunities for Millersville University students as donors of transformative gifts.
From 1972 until her retirement in 2012, Susan P. Luek, Ph.D., taught psychology as a professor at Millersville University. Luek Hall, formerly Byerly Hall, is home to the Millersville University psychology department and was renamed in her honor in 2017.
Generously provided scholarship opportunities for student-athletes at Millersville University and helped Marauders achieve their dreams. In 2012, Morgan established the Lois T. Morgan ’54 Student-Athlete Endowed Scholarship, which awards educational funds to one or more student-athletes from both men’s and women’s athletic teams.
The Robertsons support science education and research in a multitude of ways, including scholarships for students in both physics and biology, funding for student and faculty research projects and internship opportunities for summer biology field experiences, including the Marine Science Consortium at Wallops Island.
Tell School of Music is named in honor of Patrick J. Tell, an entrepreneur and philanthropist from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The School’s naming acknowledges Tell’s lifetime giving and support of Millersville University and its students.
Provided valuable educational opportunities for students through The Alan K. Wyand and Robert L. Shoener Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in music, focused on voice, with a preference to those with demonstrated financial need.
The dedication and naming of Millersville University’s Ware Center, located in the heart of downtown Lancaster at 42 N. Prince Street, took place on September 12, 2011, in Steinman Hall. Named in honor of Mr. Paul W. and Judy S. Ware, The Ware Center recognizes the Wares’ commitment to the visual and performing arts.
On the campus of Millersville University, international flags adorn the ceiling of the Galley in the Student Memorial Center (SMC) and the Lombardo Welcome Center through the International Flag Project, funded by a generous donation from Mr. Michael G. Warfel ’84.
Winter Visual and Performing Arts Center opened on the campus of Millersville University on October 12, 2012, with the dedication of the building.
