Interests

My research focuses on the depiction of political and moral issues in the visual culture of the Antebellum U.S.  Other interests include both the history of the environment and the history of technology, Film, Political Science, and Art History.

Courses Taught

At Millersville University I have taught: English 110 (College Writing), Writing 312 (Technical Writing), English 473 (Special Topics: American Football), English 242 (Reading Our World:Mass Media and Popular Culture).

At other institutions, I also teach: History of the Environment, History of Technology, American Literature, Literature of the Environment, Contemporary World Literature, Communications, and Folklore.

Passions and Distractions

I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, and spending time with my wife and three children,  I am avid fan of the NFL and the Pittsburg Steelers.
