Admissions Scholarships
Admission's Merit Scholarships
Scholarships for new incoming students are offered through Millersville University's Admissions Office and are available to domestic students in programs that are in-person. It is important to remember the following:
- Recipients are selected based on their academic performance (merit)
- No application is required. When you apply to the university, you are placed into a pool, and scholarship recipients are selected from that pool based on their qualifications.
- If you have been selected to receive an award you will be notified by the Admissions Office.
- Students enrolled in fully online programs are not eligible for the awards listed below.
Listed below are scholarships that you may have been considered for with your application to Millersville University for the 2024-2025 academic year. Please reference the section that applies to your state of residency and student status.

Undergraduate Pennsylvania Residents
THE MILLERSVILLE DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR AWARD
This award is a 4-year scholarship available to first-time, in-state, undergraduate students with a maximum award of $4,000 per year. This is a renewable scholarship and in order to continue receiving the award you must meet the following criteria each year:
- Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
- Be enrolled in 12+ credits each semester
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher while enrolled at Millersville University
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
BLACK & GOLD ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
This award is a 4-year merit scholarship available to first-time, in-state, undergraduate students with a maximum award of $3,000 per year to those who qualify academically. This is a renewable scholarship and in order to continue receiving the award you must meet the following criteria each year:
- Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
- Be enrolled in 12+ credits each semester
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher while enrolled at Millersville University
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
EPPIIC SCHOLARS AWARD
This award is a 4-year merit scholarship available to first-time, in-state, undergraduate students with a maximum award of $2,000 per year to those who qualify academically. This is a renewable scholarship and in order to continue receiving the award you must meet the following criteria each year:
- Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
- Be enrolled in 12+ credits each semester
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher while enrolled at Millersville University
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Undergraduate Out-of-State Residents
EXPLORERS AWARD
This award is a 4-year scholarship available to all first-time, out-of-state undergraduate students with a maximum of $3000 per year. This is a renewable scholarship and in order to continue receiving the award you must meet the following criteria each year:
- Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
- Be enrolled in 12+ credits each semester
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher while enrolled at Millersville University
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
MAURAUDER AWARD
This award is a 4-year merit scholarship available to first-time, out-of-state undergraduate students with a maximum of $7000 per year to those who qualify academically. This is a renewable scholarship and in order to continue receiving the award you must meet the following criteria each year:
- Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
- Be enrolled in 12+ credits each semester
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher while enrolled at Millersville University
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
VOYAGER AWARD
This award is a 4-year merit scholarship available to first-time, out-of-state undergraduate students with a maximum of $5000 per year to those who qualify academically. This is a renewable scholarship and in order to continue receiving the award you must meet the following criteria each year:
- Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
- Be enrolled in 12+ credits each semester
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher while enrolled at Millersville University
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
NAVIGATOR AWARD
This award is a 4-year merit scholarship available to first-time, out-of-state undergraduate students with a maximum of $3000 per year to those who qualify academically. This is a renewable scholarship and in order to continue receiving the award you must meet the following criteria each year:
- Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
- Be enrolled in 12+ credits each semester
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher while enrolled at Millersville University
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARS (ISS) MERIT AWARD
This award is a 4-year scholarship available to undergraduate students. This is a renewable scholarship and in order to continue receiving the award you must meet the following criteria each year:
- Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
- Be enrolled in 12+ credits each semester
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA
