Procedure for Parent / Third Party Authorization
All bills are processed electronically. In order for parents or other authorized third parties to receive notification when bills are available, have access to online billing and payment plans, and be granted permission to discuss confidential student account information with our office, Third Party Authorization is required by law. To complete this process initially, students must do the following:
- Access the Student Account Manager (SAM) through MAX, myVILLE, or at www.millersville.edu/sam
- Under My Profile from the top navigation or My Profile Setup along the right side, choose Authorized Users and then Add Authorized User
- Enter the email address of the person who should be authorized - multiple users can be added one at a time.
- The authorized third party will receive one email with directions to set up their profile and a second email containing a temporary password.
