Financial Aid Guide
Your financial aid depends on your home institution—the school where you're earning your degree. Use the guide below to know exactly what steps you need to take.
-
MU Students (Your Degree Is Through Millersville)
The Office of Financial Aid (OFA) processes your aid.
What you need to do:
-
Complete the most recent FAFSA (if not already done).
- Summer is the start of a new academic year. If you are applying for aid for the summer of 2026 — make sure to compelte the 2026-2027 FAFSA.
-
Submit the Summer Aid Application — typically available beginning March 15
-
No additional forms unless you want to borrow beyond your Cost of Attendance (COA) and provide documentation of the additional costs you are incurring.
-
Your COA already includes allowances for tuition, fees, housing, meals, and other educational expenses.
-
Billing details:
-
CBFS tuition/fees will funnel through Millersville's Office of Student Accounts (OSA)
-
OFA can apply your aid directly to your MU charges
-
Any financial aid recieved will be used as a credit toward your bill and will not physically pay to your account until mid-July when aid is scheduled to disburse.
-
If your financial aid is more than your charges, anything left over will be refunded to you to use of other educational expenses. Make sure to sign up for Direct Deposit with the Office of Student Accounts.
-
If you still owe a balance after your aid or need to obtain additional funding to help cover other educational expenses, you can look into additional loan options.

Students From Other PASSHE Schools
Your home institution processes your aid. Millersville cannot award aid for you.
What you need to do:
-
Request your home school’s PASSHE Visiting Student Form or Consortium Agreement
-
Complete your portion
-
Submit the form to MU’s Office of Financial Aid (OFA)
-
OFA will fill out the cost/enrollment section and send it back to your home school
Important:
Your CBFS classes will not qualify for aid at your home school without this form.
MU Students:
If you are a Millersville student taking the CBFS through another PASHEE institution, contact the Office of Financial Aid so we can help determine your financial aid options.
-
-
STUDENTS FROM NON-PASSHE COLLEGES
Your home institution processes your aid. Millersville cannot award aid for you.
What you need to do:
-
Ask your home financial aid office if they allow consortium agreements for CBFS
-
If yes, submit their consortium form to MU’s Office of Financial Aid (OFA)
-
OFA will complete the MU cost section and return it to your home school
If your school does not allow consortium agreements, you may need to self-pay or explore private loan options.
