    Students will: 

    • Be able to integrate and apply fundamental concepts from accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, and information technology to solve business problems.
    • Be able to use data analysis and quantitative skills to solve business problems.
    • Effectively work in teams to formulate appropriate solutions to accounting problems.
    • Demonstrate effective oral, written, and visual communication skills.
    • Understand the ethical and social responsibilities of accountants in preparing and communicating financial information.
    • Understand the importance of internal controls and the effects of the regulatory environment on financial reporting.
    • Apply knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and managerial accounting theories to business, governmental, and nonprofit organizations.

     Students will:

    • Demonstrate a firm understanding of the central areas of finance, including corporate finance, international finance, investments, and financial institutions & markets.

    • Learn to collect, analyze, synthesize, and communicate information and develop insights associated with financial problems and topics.

    Wealth Management:

    • Show the ability to integrate across business disciplines to solve financial problems
    • Students will demonstrate a firm understanding of portfolio management, including the types of domestic and global financial assets and markets available to individual and institutional investors
    • Students can explain the main budgeting, debt, investing/savings and retirement decisions faced by households
    • Students will be able to communicate, in written and oral form, the central topics and themes in wealth management to a broad and diverse audience

     Graduates of the program have the ability to:

    • Analyze and evaluate organizational information systems for vulnerabilities and threats to identify the risks and make recommendations for mitigating those risks.
    • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks to information systems in all industry areas and define disaster recovery plans.
    • Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts with stakeholders regarding organizational security risks and make informed decisions about how to allocate resources to reduce those risks.
    • Provide proficiency in cybersecurity strategies for enterprise systems, computer networks, telecommunication, World Wide Web, internet frameworks, digital data, and cloud computing.
    • Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
